Our Approach to Healthcare
On site Veterinary team
Our proactive approach to healthcare means we continuously accumulate and monitor each dog’s health while they spend the day with us, tracking eating and drinking habits, toileting patterns, activity levels, behaviour, skin and coat condition, and dental health. Any concerns are addressed in real-time by our onsite healthcare team, giving you full peace of mind.
Calming Experience
At every visit you and your dog will be greeted by the same veterinary team, to ensure continuity of care and that a visit to the vets is a familiar experience for your dog. Just like the rest of WagWorks, our healthcare suite has been designed to be welcoming and calming for your dog to avoid any ‘white coat’ fear some dogs display in more clinical-looking environments.
Preventative Healthcare
With limited memberships and regular contact with our member dogs, we offer a personalised preventative healthcare service. This includes quarterly health checks to pick up on any indications of discomfort or early signs of potential health issues with advice on next steps, tailored monthly parasite treatments, annual vaccinations, and free health consults, all as part of your WagWorks membership.
Our Veterinary Team
Dr Emily
Dr. Emily graduated as a Vet from Bristol University in 2016. Prior to her veterinary studies, she earned a degree in Zoology. Over the past eight years, she’s dedicated her career to charity veterinary practice. Her work has included teaching surgical skills to international veterinarians, an endeavor that took her to Tanzania. There, she was part of ‘Mission Rabies,’ a project aimed at reducing rabies incidence by teaching local vets how to neuter stray dogs.
Dr Alice
Dr Alice graduated as a vet from the University of Surrey. After graduation, she worked in the Cotswolds before moving back to London to be closer to family, where she has been working in small animal practice ever since. She has a particular interest in veterinary nutrition, and has worked on several research projects in this field, as well as behaviour medicine and dentistry. When not at work her cheeky miniature schnauzer Percy keeps her very busy!
